Went for another run in the woods this morning. I can run and run and run and for some reason, its all uphill. Its okay though because its like twice the effort in half the time. I like running through the forest growth, mud, and gravel. Dodging rocks, tree stumps, and slugs is also fun. I’ve only been a little worried about getting lost because the nature park is HUGE. If I got lost, yes I might find a road, but it could take a LONG time to get back to civilization, let alone the house. So I have to be very aware of where I am and what turn I took (and which turns I didn’t take). I came across 4 other people today so the good thing is, if I get hurt or something, someone is bound to find me. But its really nice to just be in a pretty deserted land. This kind of experience you can’t find in the city of Boston. You can probably do this in Western Mass, New Hampshire, and Vermont but it would take a lot of time and money to get to those places (I don’t have a car at school).
Thankfully the weather is a bit nicer today. For the most part, the temperature has warm up to a point where I didn’t have to wear a sweatshirt.
Another blissfully simple day in Stuttgart. I’m glad to be going to the meeting on Saturday. It’ll be nice to hang out with kids my age and talk about all the important issues of the world.
